Description

Maria Gorethy Balabhavan, Thavalam at Attappady was started in 1991. This is mainly focused for the boarding for the tribal poorest girls who are unable to afford their education in many ways. This is a forest area and now this area is developing as a small town with roads, transportation, school, shops and church etc. We are having 50 girls from different remote tribal areas who do not have schools or any other facilities. They are studying in different classes starting from 1st to 10th standard. Enhancement of female literacy and upliftment of women are the main thrust of this institution.
